I have been looking for some mirrors to go with my Brooklands screen. Do you have any pictures please? If they are suitable I am definitely interested, subject to price of course Cheers, Bloggsy Green and Clammy
  5. Do you have any pictures of the mirrors and mounts please - I am looking for some to go onto a brooklands stanchion. Cheers.

  7. Bri. What sort of mirrors are they please? Green and Clammy
  8. Easily "forged" but my supersport has a red cover over the sparkplugs whereas the roadsport has a black cover. Like I said, easy enough to replace and no guarantee, but it is a start!
  9. 2nd dibs on boring BRG half doors please!

    Is this okay?

I don't think I overtightened it, I had read on here about it being a tapered-thread. Of course the proof will be when I try to remove it when/if it fails I must admit Myles, I have looked at your site and wondered whether I could tackle some of the projects you have written about. Apollo, verniers and a better exhaust system are on the list. But a bit more money required in the bank first. Oh and a steering wheel to replace the over-worn (ex)suede Alpha that lives on the car at the moment, and I do wonder if the white faced stack rev counter really fits in with the look of the car But apart from that, right now I will settle for a temp gauge that works - tomorrow will tell

    Is this okay?

I have just replaced the water temperature sender in my 1996 1.6 K series Supersport and was surprised that no coolant leaked out. There was coolant visible through the hole. I have checked the archive here, and some people seem to loose coolant and some don't. Should I bleed the system to make sure, or am I likely to be okay? So far my fiddling with my car has been limited to changing wheels, the throttle body, getting the exhaust pipe welded up (took it off the car myself though!) getting a yellow nose band painted and now replacing the sender. With your help and the car's "character" I shall become competent at this maintenance game - eventually! Cheers, Bloggsy Green and Clammy
  13. At £695 I think I shall eke out the current system until i need to weld the welds
