    Damaged alloy

Is there not filler over the rear wheel where the side panel meets the rear panel?
  2. And again today, from Sadlers Farm to High Road Benfleet :-) Chris.
  3. I am looking for a set of Caterham 150 Throttle Bodies, must be in good condition, both function and cosmetic. I am also looking for any other parts from the 150 kit, except the modine. Chris.
  4. Quoting 7 wonders of the world: Ask the supplier for a new one ? Thais, plan A, but its an Ebay purchase so i am looking for my plan B
  5. Not that I can see, just looks dented. Edited by - ChrisC on 9 Nov 2013 17:34:54
  6. Hi all My new modine oil cooler has been damaged in the post, is it fixable, if so how? http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7384/10757309003_05624f3558.jpg
  7. Thanks found it, and the photos are perfect link found
  8. Can someone please post or send me pictures of their modine oil cooler install on a 150? Thanks Chris.
  9. The Premier Power TBs are AT items. I am sure they a better quality piece of kit, but I wanted to get as close to the original 150 spec as i possibly can.
  10. I have not see Titan Sigma TBs listed anywhere, I have seen plenty of Duratec Titan offerings. I wonder if I should email them direct.
  11. They don't look like Jenvey or AT, so who made them ? Chris.
  12. I filled out a web form on their website asking where I could get them, and they sent me some replacements free of charge from Germany :-) Chris.
  13. You will also need some imperial spanners and sockets. The metric cars been to be a bit of a mixed bag.
  14. I was also there, but I had side order of understeer to go with my oversteer. I have CR500s and still have the rear ARB fitted. I am the "Not my spin" in the vid, but this was the end result of a lockup under braking (and a lack of talent).
  15. Is it a Caterham branded unit and has it got any damage to the casings? Chris.

    Upgrade options

I have been pondering the same question, but have decided to keep the car as "Caterham Standard" as I can because I intend to build an R400 or equivalent in a couple of years time. I think power upgrades from non factory sources will limit my options and force a private sale.
  17. Little follow up, I stopped the leak with a little tweet with a oil filter tool from halfords. Thanks for all the advice. Chris.
  18. Spotted Blue with silver nose band black wheels, half doors and aero screen, about 10:30 passing the Shell garage on Benfleet High Street. I was filling the tin top :(. Nice to see another seven in Benfleet, where you passing though or do you live local? Chris.
  19. I have been a long time glass wearer but have coverted to contact lenses for the seven. It makes the choice of eye protection much simpler. Have you thought about going that route for blatting? Edited by - ChrisC on 23 Aug 2013 08:10:44
  20. Quoting garybee: Ah, I think I understand what's going on on the RHS. Does the bolt have a long plain (unthreaded) portion and the washers were an attempt to stop the nut/bolt becoming 'threadbound' (nut tightening against end of thread before joint is tightened)? Yep nut was hitting the end of the thread before tightening, and the person that put it back without the side protection packed it with loads of washers. This is all going to be replaced, because I purchased a all new fixings/washers and packing washers.
  21. So it looks like case closed, typical race car damage, and the long bolt was because it used to have side impact protection. I feel better about replacing it and sleeping easy not worrying why I had a longer bolt, and that a shorter bolt has not been fitted in the wrong place . Thanks
