  1. There are a lot of "fake" designs around so be careful. I discovered my side stripes are fake ☹️ and that bothers me. If it doesn't bother you then there are plenty of cheap ebay suppliers, if it does then I suspect Caterham its you best bet here

Any paint shop should be able to fit them if you don't want to do it yourself.

  2. My car didn't have them fitted when I collected it, but after my first track day it was top of my car to do list. I don't know what but my knee rubbed on a bolt somewhere and was agony by the end of the day. Didn't have the problem once the knee panels where fitted. I suspect you might suffer my problem if you leave them off, but it depends on your size or leg length and SV or S3.

    Chris.

  3. I like Zap Goo, it's like super glue, but always remains flexible, and can be peeled off with no damage to either surface. I used to use it to stick connector plugs together on my RC helicopters, so it had to be strong but removable without any damage.

  4. Quoting 10 foot:
Wanted: Aeroscreen, preferably complete with mirrors etc for S3 (2010), carbon preferred but may consider composite

I have Caterham Composite one in the For Sale section

  5. A guess, and it can only be a guess without being able to reproduce the crash, is the application or driver wrote over memory where is should have not touched, in this case the system clock. Years ago we often hacked into the "timer tick" interrupt for Terminate Stay Resident DOS coding, if that went wrong the clock would easily be all over the place. Now days I thought a memory access requests has to be made to access memory outside an applications sandbox, so I suspect it was a driver that pulled the machine done, they tend to have more low level access by default.

If it's all back, no harm done ;)

    Hi,

You connect by wifi. Turn on the wifi on the GoPro (button on the side, hold it down until a blue light comes on), then go in to settings on the iPad and connect to the wifi network the GoPro has created. Then back in to the app, and you have full control on the iPad.

You may need to set up the GoPro properly on a computer using the lead supplied and download all the updates and rename your network, etc.

Only one thing to add, is make sure the wifi setting on the GoPro are for Wifi App, and not Wifi Remote Control. Then follow John steps :-)

  7. Hi All

I am looking to see if I can source this injector for non Caterham sources.

I believe they are the mandatory injector for 2013 Tracksport and Supersport cars, and kitted to the sigma 150 kit.

Does anyone know a ford or siemens part numbers, or can read the numbers off your sigma 150?

    Many thanks

    Chris.

  8. Just has a look at the circuit diagram, and agree that disconnecting one plug kills two cylinders. I suspect the fact it dies as soon as the throttle is touched might suggest a throttle pot / position problem. Does the build manual give any throttle pot reference readings (volts or ohms) that you can check?
  9. I am no master, but assuming it runs on 3 three regardless if it's 1 or 2 that's disconnected, the it might be a connection to the coil pack / coil pack or plug leads. It's wasted spark, ie two plugs are fired at the same time, but it can't power both plugs, so when both plugs are connected the sparks are to weak. Once only one plug is connected the single plug is strong enough.

  10. I understand the ECU does not use any information on manifold pressure, only throttle position, after the final changes made for drivability.

    These being

    Change in throttle quadrant (larger)

    Map change

    Remove MAP Sensor

    Stronger throttle return spring

    Changes to cam belt tensioner

  11. It's my understanding that the MAP sensor information was removed from the latest ECU maps for the 150, so a am not suprised by your configuration. I suspect it was easier to leave the redundant sensor in the loom instead of creating a new engine loom.

  12. Hi All

I am looking to borrow a valve spring removal tool that can be used to remove valve springs without removing the head. I understand it uses compressed air into the cylinder to hold the valves closed. I have an airline, I just want to borrow the spring compressor.

So do you know a hire shop? Have you got one, that I can borrow (for a donation to NTL)?

    PS. Its for my Sigma
