  1. My Sigma 150 pulls clean from 1000 rpm in 5th. No hesitation or flats spots. So I don't agree its a quirk of the 150. They are very susceptible to throttle body balance and TPS setting. If it's off, even by a little bit, then you will get hesitation or rough running. Mine has only one minor problem, and that is the throttle pedal is to light, which can either be fixed by a heaver spring or bracing your right foot against the foot well. It makes speed bumps a bit tricky to master, but not something that bothers me now. When was the last time the TBs where balanced and the TPS was setup / adjusted? If you are local to me I can do it for you, or teach you how to do it.
  2. I had a leak from the plastic bung, where a thermostat would have been fitted, but is not required on a sigma engine. Radtech sent me a thermostat which fixed my problem free of charge, and my Rad was just over 1 year old. Contact Radtech they are splendid company to deal with.
  3. I tapped into my tach wire at the point where the engine loom connected to the main loom. There was a four wire ecoseal connector, so I just created a little connecting lead with a male and female ecoseal connectors and patched into that. This way there is cut into the original loom, and the engine can still be removed with the loom attached.
  4. Has the SVA trim fitted, but has not been drilled for a repeater or fitting. It is as new condition no scratches or star cracks, removed because I upgraded after another driver rearranged my other wing with his car. This one can also be included but your going to need to do a bit of fiber glass repair. £6 for postage.
  5. Mystery solved - thanks ti Titan and a picture of the serial number. This BMW 168 diff was manufactured back in early December 2011, it has Carbon Friction Plates and 30/90 Ramp Angles. No good for me and not as listed so its back in the hands of the seller. Edited by - ChrisC on 12 Sep 2014 09:21:17
  6. Here is a link to the listing here Hope I haven't wasted my money :-(
  7. Sorry forgot to say, the diff has never been fitted into casing (or had a final drive ratio fitted). I am going to get road and race to do the swap. Is there any marking on the Titan bit that I can use to identify it?
  8. Hi All Does anyone have pictures of a Titan LSD, I did a bit of rash eBay bidding, and just wanted to check I am actually getting a 7" Ford Titan LSD diff. Many thank
  9. You could send it to lepsons in kent, but check the price of a new wheel because it can soon add up and caterham wheels are not that expensive. Edited by - ChrisC on 7 Sep 2014 21:13:28

    Uneven running

I have the MBE lead that might show what's going on.
  13. Hi Lee Looks like the seat switch didn't resolve your back problems :-( Sorry you have to sell the car. Chris.
  14. Its called the map sensor. Its electrical connected on the 150, but the 125 uses it to sense manifold pressure. Its possible you have a split hose between the manifold and the map sensor.

    Headlights

There are a pair on eBay at the moment, or SVC are a cheaper source.
  16. Hi Welcome to Blatchat, and congratulations on your 7 😬 You can get the Rollbar from Caterham (or secondhand if your lucky). I think they are made by Caged these days. Changing to the peashooter won't introduce more pops and bangs, thats just the nature of the tune. The peashooter will just make what you have louder. Louder is generally a bad thing for a number of reasons, i.e. track day noise limits and your hearing. (I already wear ear plugs ). My cars pops and bangs have changed because I have changed two aspect of my car over the past year. First i fitted the 150 kit, then a de-cat pipe, because I was concerned the pops and bangs where happening in the cat (and damaging it), but each change altered to pops and bangs the car made. Now I have learnt how to make my car pop (almost on demand) which makes me very happy. What I am trying to say is hold off on changing to a peashooter learn the car and how to make it pop and bang, then decide. Be careful of your hearing
  17. Really can't comment on the R500, but my Sigma 150 is on throttle bodies, and if they are not balanced and the TPS is not perfectly with the correct idle speed, it starts to become a pig to drive. Including stalling etc.
  18. Sorry for late update - Home safe, just very late due to dartford tunnel traffic. The suspension feels different, but actually feels fine. I can't put my finger on what feels different, but there is someone. Unfortunately I am working today, so I won't be able to jack it up with the nose off until tonight to see if anything else is bent (apart from the wing stay). Then I guess its a phone call to the insurance company. Lasting memory of that holiday was a big Italian waving his arms in the air shouting in true stereo typical way, and flicking my half detached cycle wing saying "its nothing" ☹️
  19. As far as I can tell car feels ok getting off the ferry. Just need to find a drill in Dover ☹️.
  20. Cable ties would work, but I don't have a drill in my tool kit
