  1. ha! I rang them at 12:30 today saying "any chance you can get them to me by tomorrow, I appreciate that this is a big ask" to which I was told "we close at 1, so probs not"
  2. is that just for the track? sounds very stiff, obviously with your wide arse SV maybe you need it *ducks 😄
  3. think I might go 225/150 it's going to be a lot stiffer as it is.
  4. what spring rates are people recommending for 50:50 track/road? I can't figure out what my stock springs are.... cheers
  5. they're not on a percentage, I promise....
  6. OK. I've sold a few of these now and I'm confident in the quality enough to now offer them to you lot. Caterham standard caravan rear lights are pretty terrible. the LED versions are excellent, I have a pair, but they’re currently £520. BigCol of this parish bought some of these: here which look great and have animated sequential indicators (video here). there was some decussion here: I'm offering these either as a drop-in replacement to Caterham's (£180) or just the cowls bolts and extenders (£70) if you want to crimp the econoseals yourself. more information here: https://uberniche.co.uk/big-col-flashy-lights
  7. I see what you did there. I'm glad you didn't dam..... nope. not going there.
  8. trackdays and nerdiness and replacing 17yo 60k mile billy's
  9. I know that some people have skin in this game, but does anyone have experience of Protech? they seam very reasonably priced, just wondering if there's a good reaason for it. I'm probably heading for Core or Quantum c/o Simon, but wanted to see if anyone has any knowledge. couldn't find much on here. cheers.
  10. so jealous. very smooth lap I'd go again but the journey is just too much. we did a tour of the alps this year which was fab.
  11. Caterham’s mirrors are terrible. flat, wobbly and HUGE I've been testing these lifeline mirrors a while now and they're so much better than Spa mirrors that I bought a couple of them and I'm selling the whole kit and kaboodle. For Spa mirrors my best solution was a custom bracket that fit both the hinge mount AND the front bolt hole. this provided lots of rigidity but required accurrate measurement and CAD work on my part. Lifeline mirrors have a better mounting bracket than both Spa and Motamec and have a better convex mirror (flat is available) than the motamec (which is basically flat) they also look pretty cool and I think the brackets look pretty neat. The ONLY problem with the lifeline mirrors is that they use a ridiculously small grub screw to fix them in place, so I bought a couple of pairs of them and I'm offering the whole lot, brackets, mirrors already drilled and tapped and the bolts that are needed for £150. I'm probably not going to continue supplying mirrors as it's too much stress, so once the pairs I've done have gone you'll need to order them seperately and the brackets will be £70 If you're interested and want more info please go here: https://uberniche.co.uk/lifeline-mirror-mounts cheers all! J
  12. It's at about 4000rpm at 70mph so very noisy
  13. I don't need to go over 120 to rinse porsches on track. The car is pretty aggro at 70mph with or without the diff
