  1. Unless your name is Crudders.
  2. I believe the system also varies which cylinder is shut down on a continuous cycle, so in effect, they all share the work - as it were. Just pulling plugs off injectors is a bad idea that won't save you anything.
  3. Years ago my old E Class had a similar problem that turned out to be leaking seals in the master cylinder, as others have suggested. Mine wasn't visibly losing fluid either.

    Fuel pump

As yours is a live axle car Adil, it won't already have wiring for a fuel pump near the tank. I believe I'm right in saying that none of the LA cars were ever produced from the factory as a separate model with fuel injected engines requiring a tank mounted pump. Certainly my '97 live axle car didn't have such wiring and so, like Guy, I ran a separate fused feed through the tunnel when I fitted TB's to the Zetec.
  5. Bugger, only just seen this. ☹️ I could be interested if Johnny English decides against.
  6. I had the Fiat ones in the headlamp bowls on my 7 and it went through the SVA with them, but not sure if IVA would be different. They were reasonably bright when lit and I particularly liked the fact the lens itself was clear and so on a black headlamp bowl they were very unobtrusive.
  7. Bob, don't assume the sump plug is still tight! It was removed before welding up so as not to melt the nylon washer. Edited by - Brent Chiswick on 5 Mar 2010 13:25:01
  8. Dave Walker mapped my Duratec in both its guises and I was very happy with the results. It's an odd feeling sitting on the back of the 7 holding onto the rolbar, me on one side and Ammo on t'other, with the speedo reading 140 mph.
  9. I agree about vinyl lasting longer than latex. Some of our guys in the factory need to use disposables and we have changed entirely over to vinyl now. The other benefit is that your hands don't end up smelling like condoms!

    Rear ARB

Gary May at Freestyle always recommends taking the rear ARB off completely unless you are doing serious racing or sprinting. He says for road use it is completely pointless. Edited by - Brent Chiswick on 1 Feb 2010 13:05:31
  11. I used black T Cut on mine to remove the white staining after being caught in a rainstorm. It worked a treat with some elbow grease and after sealing with a decent wax polish, never reappeared.
  12. Has anyone actually tried putting a hi-vis jacket on whilst still in a 7 with the roof on (assuming it's raining)? Bet it ain't easy. 😬

    RIF Aero

Tony, I think you'll find Guy bought a lowered floor - and then turned it upside down to fit it.
  14. Tell it you haf vays off making it talk like ein Englander. Btw, has it got Poland on the maps? Edited by - Brent Chiswick on 20 Jan 2010 14:20:10
