  1. I went down the JAL inner route when I ordered my car. You get the OEM lights but for less than speccing them on a new car 👍
  2. Thanks chaps. I'll try running higher pressures next track day ans see how it feels!
  3. Possibly a dumb question, but why would you want higher pressure on track? I've always taken a simple approach to track pressures by letting out air with a gauge to keep them at road pressure (18psi) after each session. Have I been doing it wrong?
  4. Sounds good. I'm already in Cheddar, but can meet you all en-route.
  5. Annual cover which includes track days is a lot cheaper. You'll get 5 or 6 days for less than a single day of bespoke cover.
  6. First thing I did when i bought mine. I didn't spec them from new because It was a few hundred quid cheaper to spec the halogens then fit the JAL headlight inners (which are identical to the OEM ones). Oh, and put a sticker over the blue main beam LED on the dash. Sorted 👍
  7. My car has done about 3 track days a year since new (2020) and the oil has never looked black. It does about 2k miles a year.
  8. I just bought one of these. Crimping and stripping in one. No idea how good it is compared to separate alternatives, but as I didn't have either I thought it'd be useful.
  9. Are the standard oil drain plugs not magnetic?
  10. I've only just seen this sorry! It was a year later as well as different oil, so the proof will be in this year's test...
  11. The standard Caterham "clear lens LED bulb" rear lights on my 2020 310R aren't good, but pass MOT no problem. I fitted a high level brake light in the centre of the track day roll bar cross. I've not done anything to the original lights yet, but I figure the high level light is the one that will get seen anyway.
  12. £23 each is insane! JAL and Sevens and Classics charge £380 for their top of the range ones*. £120-£180 for their cheaper ones. What's the catch? * We'll ignore Caterham's prices (nearly twice the JAL price for the exact same unit).
  13. Is it not bolted to the existing holes for the petty strut?
  14. I had the service done today, and as the coolant was being drained anyway I had the hose replaced with the OEM Caterham part I linked above. I totally forgot to ask about coolant type, so it's back full of factory-standard OAT. The new hose has a Caterham-branded matte wrap. Perhaps the original Caterham Motorsport one isn't available anymore? I certainly can't find any alternatives to the new one on the Caterham parts website.
  15. Nice job. Here's the default fitment under the bar so a half hood fits for comparison. I actually think it's pretty neat if you put black tape on the metal strap to colour match it...
