2010 International 2001 was the last time an International event was held in the North of England – so it’s time we did it again! The 2010 International will be over the weekend of the 7th and 8th of August and will be centred on the Woodvale Rally. The Woodvale Rally is an increasingly popular show held annually at RAF Woodvale, near Southport, Lancashire, offering a wide variety of entertainment for all the family – from car clubs to model aircraft displays, military displays to motorcycle stunt displays. The Clubs pitch is filling quickly and we hope to have the largest club presence of all the car clubs attending. Malcolm “Silver Van Man’ Godfrey will also be in attendance with the ESV and the Regalia Store. LADS (Lancashire And District Sevens) have previously organised the Clubs attendance and have won the “Best Car Club” trophy, much to the disgust of the Porsche Owners Club! This time we’ll be even bigger and better! As well as the entertainment at Woodvale for the Weekend, we have organised a dinner dance for Saturday evening to be held at the nearby “Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa”. If Woodvale hasn’t yet wetted your appetite, a weekend at Formby Hall should! Tickets are selling fast, so book now to avoid disappointment! If you fancy a more relaxed weekend, you may choose just to stay at Woodvale and take in the evenings’ entertainment including live music, which is all provided by the Rally organisers.Accommodation is plentiful room for those wishing to Camp at Woodvale, or the Premier Inn (Liverpool North) approximately 9 miles south of the rally venue. Book NOW if you intend to stay at the Premier Inn.For anyone not familiar with this part of the country, the potential for blatting is immense! Whilst in the area you may wish to explore some of the Fylde Coast, the Trough of Bowland, or maybe even venturing into North Wales. · Event tickets for the whole weekend are £10 per Seven with up to 2 people. This includes weekend entry to Woodvale, complimentary camping, and an exclusive Lotus Seven Club event sticker.· Dinner Dance tickets are £35 per person including complimentary transport from both the Premier Inn and the camp site. Bookings are coming in thick and fast, so make sure you send your entry form back with payment as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. An entry form is included in this edition of Low Flying, or can be downloaded from the event website: www.7clubinternational.co.uk In the meantime if you need more general information please visit -Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa: www.formbyhallgolfresort.co.ukWoodvale website: www.woodvale-rally.org.ukPremier Inn www.premierinn.com(for bookings – “Liverpool North”)If you have a specific enquiry please contact the event organising team at international2010@lotus7club.com
