The London (West) and Middlesex Area will meet at the Ace Cafe on Tuesday 13 August in the early evening.
Calling all Club members in west and north-west London together with surrounding areas, all the way out to the M25 and a little beyond. Join other Seven enthusiasts at the only London meeting where cars are welcome!
The Ace Cafe is one of those essential locations for those who are enthusiastic about cars or bikes and it has a fine reputation for music too. But it is the motoring connection which concerns us, our monthly Club night coincides with its classic car night and the meeting of the Sprite & Midget Club. Particularly during the long evenings and fine weather of the summer there is a delightful mix of cars in wonderful diversity, mostly of stunning condition. You might describe it as a tyre-kickers’ delight!

Subsequent meetings will be on 10 September, 8 October and subsequent second Tuesdays each month.

    Johnty Lyons

    By Guest, in Club Announcements,

A unique man, a straightforward man, a lovely man; a kindred spirit to many.
A man you could have a deep conversation with, a man you could have a raucous laugh with, and a man with whom you could share a quiet moment.
And what's more, a man that you would want to do these things with.
What a blessed shame he has left us.
My world is brighter having met him, and will be dimmer and poorer for not being able to meet him again.
Thanks for everything Johnty, you meant more to many than you would imagine.
You live on on the hearts that you touched, mine included.

    Kay Puttock

    By Guest, in Club Announcements,

It is with great sadness that we relay the news of the passing of Kay Puttock, who died on the morning of the 15th July following the recurrence of the cancer she had been fighting for the last 18 years.  Kay, together with her husband Ken, organised the Club Stand at the Stoneleigh Kit Car Show for a number of years and in 1994 they were awarded Best Club Stand.
As well as contributing to many other aspects of the club's activities, in 1999, Kay - with Mo and Peter Steer - took responsibility for Club Regalia.
Kay was loved by many and our condolences are with husband Ken, sons Craig and Lloyd and their families.

A glorious day with most of the Lotus 7's being sheltered from the full force of the sun under the shady paddock,
In Class 1 Steffan Eldred dominated the timed runs with both being under the previous class record, with Paul Brown taking his first Edward Lewis.
Class 2 saw a battle in practice between Matthew Willoughby and Alan Bowler, who both secumbed to grassy excursions in the first timed run, Matthew however managed to hook everything together on the final timed run for a blistering run knocking 0.86seconds of the class record. Paul Collins secured his first Edward Lewis.
Class 3 saw Matthew Jenkins take  the win over stiff competition from Richard Price.
Class 4 was taken by Micheal Sankey, with Edward Lewis going to Chris Gibbs
Class 5 saw a battle not only between competitors but Shaun Elwell fighting his 7 to keep it running, Shaun & Joy Hoyle played nip & took in the practice runs but Shaun Elwell managed to secure the class win & another Edward Lewis with his one timed run.
Class 6 saw Rob Margel & Simon Rogers withdraw, leaving a returning Simon Jenks to put in solid runs to take the class.
Ladies was taken by Joy Hoyle
