    GDPR Statement

    By Shaun_E, in Club Announcements,

You may have heard or read about the new “GDPR” (General Data Protection Regulation) that comes into force on May 25th, 2018. The GDPR gives individuals more control over how their data is used and places certain obligations on organisations such as the Club that process the personal information of those individuals.
The Club values your privacy and the personal information you entrust to us. We also take our Data Protection obligations seriously and we have therefore been reviewing our policies and procedures in readiness for the new regulations.  We have been lucky to have been able to enlist Club member Fraser Levey, a senior Cyber Security / Data Privacy Specialist who helps large public-sector organisations meet their GDPR responsibilities, to advise us in this area.
The Club will contact members in the coming weeks to explain more about our obligations and what we are doing to fulfil them. We will also ask members to read our updated policies and check that we have the required consent to continue to process your information.

Monday saw the running of the clubs second "novices track day" this time at Rockingham circuit near Northamptonshire. After a popular and successful event last year at Donington Park, the club chose the slightly more southerly Rockingham circuit to host this day full of classroom briefing, instruction from several qualified ARDS instructors and plenty of track time. Participants seemed to have enjoyed themselves:

Brilliant format, excellent instruction, loads of time on track. Massively exceeded my expectations and a truly memorable day.

A great day. Many thanks to all the organisers and instructors.
Looking forward to the next one.
There are more club track days confirmed including Brands Hatch Grand Prix and Blyton Park in the next month and bookings will soon open for Cadwell Park and Oulton Park. For full details of the club's track day program take a look here: https://www.lotus7.club/trackdays

Can you stand alongside the other Motorsport Legends who have had Lotus Sevens , Colin Chapman, Edward Lewis, Graham Hill, Jackie Stewart, Eddie Irvine,Sir Chris Hoy, Nikki Lauda, to name a few in a car which was once dubbed as "Too Fast to Race".
Regardless of what specification Lotus Seven or Caterham Seven you have, if your experienced or total novice why not challenge yourself against the clock, against others in similar performance cars.

Not just for speed junkies but for men and women of all ages. Our fun little cars are often perceived as a boy's toys but we all just know that they are part of the family..
So why not make it a family adventure, we welcome dual drives, and have seen every combination you can imagine, Mum & Daughter, Father & Son, Brothers, Mum & Son, Dad & Daughter, or even just good friends....
If fact for the ladies who want to take part and be an inspiration to the next generation, then why not join Dare to be Different   and enjoy a great discount to our events this year.
