R500MATT
Does anyone else but Caterham and Deamon Tweeks stock 13" spoke alloy wheels??(R400 and R500) Does anyone know who manufacturers them and the wheels model name??
Support Team Shaun_E Posted April 24, 2006 Support Team Share Posted April 24, 2006 They are almost certainly bespoke to Caterham and the manufacturer will not supply them to you direct. Yellow SL #
Frying Pan
They are made by KN in Telford, but they will not sell direct, as they are Caterham's own design. I'm pretty sure they will have 'Caterham' cast into the back of one of the spokes, like the 15"s Guy See some pictures of the build here. 9000 miles completed! Tom_C
The 13" 8 spoke do indeed have Caterham cast on the centre of the wheel. Cheers Tom FH54WLX - only the car supports ManU, honest! see here
R500MATT
Hi Gents Shame they wont supply directly, I am in the car trade myself and some alloy wheels we can buy from a trade source for as little as £20 each, looks like Caterham it is then . Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted April 24, 2006 Area Representative Share Posted April 24, 2006 Shame they wont supply directly, Do you suppliers under-cut you to sell your designs dierectly to your existing customers? I think it does them credit to honour this. If you think that CC are putting on too large a premium, then negotiate. GJT Celerior quam currus festinans... Paul McKenzie
...but...DT's prices are usually 15% more to start with K.
mav
You can not get discount on Caterham only parts at DT. If you point out the prices are higher than direct form Caterham, then you MAY get them at the Caterham POS price. They do not get any margin from Caterham on the parts they stock / sell - well thats what I was told!
Paul Bowden
I recently bought the 6x13 8 spokes through DT for £68.94 plus VAT , which I make £81???. CC price is £90 . so I think I got a genuine discount
