Clutch info required...Updated - Looks like the bearing in the flywheel / crank has failed...

Any options that will give similar performance to the CC / AP clutch as per the CC website.

I've seen the helix options. Any others?

Also who has the spline pattern / size and the plate dimensions (Diameter and thickness)

This is for a 1.6K with a 6 speed box.

Cheers

No idea if this is the current spec.

Prices I have obtained for the driven plate only (CP2257-9) are as follows:

AP Direct : £41.07 +vat

Questmead : £35.94 +vat

Apparently the part number listed above is the old spec, not the current spec from Caterham.

Caterham current spec part number (they won't tell the AP part number) 72602R is £63.83 +vat.

  • 2 weeks later...

Looks like it is the bearing inthe flywheel that has failed. I'll take a couple of pics when the camera is charged up. New centre plate required too. Cover plate is just fine.

its a ford spigot bearing (and gearbox input shaft), but the rover crank has a slightly larger hole , So a 1mm sleeve is required *smile*

simplist option is to order both from Caterham *biggrin* or end up driving all across town to the ford garage , then you still have to order the sleeve *tongue*
