200 BHP 2.0L Vauxhall 1995

Unfortuantely due to moving abroad and extreme lack of use it's time to part company with my Caterham.

It was bought via Blatchat in 2002, the original thread is here: http://www.blatchat.com/T.asp?id=13351

The car is virtually unchanged since I bought it and has had little use, a bit of messing around in the UK and two short trips to the Nürburgring.

There's pictures of it here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ian.archbold/caterham/

The spec (pretty much unchanged since I bought it):

-Caterham Vauxhall 2.0 16v.

-200+bhp XE engined car.

-It is a component built car, using a 1990 Caterham-Vauxhall race chassis. Built for the previous owner by Caterham Authorised service Agent to his specification in 1995 and first registered in 9/1995.

-Two owners from then!

-Polished aluminium and Vauxhall Atlantis Blue.

-Cycle wings.

-Engine built by Bob Jones (B+J Motors) Dyno results available.

-Omega pistons

-Kent cams

-45 DCOE's

-MBE 912V2 ignition, etc.

-5 speed De Dion with LSD.

-Front AP 4 pot calipers and big discs.

-Up rated master cylinder.

-13inch Superlites and good Yoko A021R's....3 virtually new.

-FIA bar and Petty strut.

-Full hi-viz weather equipment, including boot cover and tonneau.

-Black leather adjustable seats.

-6 and 4 point harnesses.

-Q/R Spa-Alpha wheel and Momo ali gear knob.

-Carpets.

-Elliott rev counter.

-Cibie Z180's.

-Flush fitting alloy fuel filler.

-Car maintained to a high standard and is little used.

-Never raced! Couple of club sprints and hillclimbs only plus 2 short trips to the Nürburgring. Never damaged!

-I have confirmation from Caterham that the chassis numbers, both the ARCH manufacture number, and the Caterham chassis plate add up, and that this is a 'pukka' Vauxhall race chassis, as described!

All in all it's a nice, clean and FAST car!

The car is located in North Hertfordshire and I am asking around £10,500 but may consider sensible offers.

I'm happy to answer any question you may have.

Thanks for looking!

Ian.
