susser
My immobiliser ('97 1.6 Roadsport (with supersport upgrade C/W shiftlight)) used to just click and switch off I think. Now the LED does a double flash repeated about 10 times and then goes off. (Disarms). Is it trying to tell me something ? Is it just me being paranoid ? Mike Molloy
It's telling you your keyfob battery is nearly flat. "The CCT (Confidence Confirm Telltale) low battery warning consists of 2 pulses every 500ms for 15s or until Ignition turns on. The low battery warning is only output following a RF unlock." fastlady
Ah - that explains mine then! Battery is definitely going flat as I have to get it very close to the dash now to arm/disarm the immobiliser. Anyone know where to get a new one?
irrotational
If it's a rover fob and ECU you need a cr2032 (i think from memory). If you search blatchat for the above code you should get two threads that confirm this. Battery is standard and can be bought anywhere. --- this is a local sig for local people! fastlady
Cheers irrotational - thank goodness it's a standard battery, was a bit worried it might be one of these 'send it off and get ripped off' jobs!
AdamQ
Yup, the Rover fobs use CR2032 batteries. I bought a couple recently from the Small Battery Company - free delivery the next day. However, it sounds like they're pretty readily available on the high street. Adam
susser
What a source of all knowledge and wisdom BC is BC Thanks. As it happens I have a spare fob and battery; I'll replace the batt in the spare fob as well (otherwise it wouldn't be a spare). OBTW It is a cr2032 (20mm dia 3.2 mm thick)
