EFA Posted January 23, 2002 Share Posted January 23, 2002 Chris, You do not need change the head bolts nor the main caps unless you cannot verify they have had less than 10 re-torques. What the Haynes manual states is incorrect. This is Swindons practice and nobody knows better than them. The Crank pulley bolt should however be replaced on each occaision its replaced. Swindon are in my opinion good for bits but they do not do credit cards, otherwise go to your local dealer and pretend to be trade...... SBD are in my opinion expensive, QED are in my opinion incompetent - they sold me maincap bolts a whole inch too long and denied their error!!!
