If I remember the box for a x-flow has a different length input shaft (slightly longer) to VX or K and that needs to be quoted at the time of order. EFA Posted January 23, 2002 Share Posted January 23, 2002 Speak to Darren in parts, but I can see no reason why with the spacer engine and gearbox will not fit together, although then the length of the whole assy may be too long. Without the spacer you can turn the 1st motion staft down yourselfit by the required amount. This would give you a shorter assembled length. Nigel Riches Posted January 26, 2002 Share Posted January 26, 2002 Clive the 4 speed 'box is shorter than the 5 speed, and the gearbox mounting point in chassis is different, there are a whole load of "mods" that need to be done to get a 5 speed in place of a 4, but it's worth it, Arch Motors could advise on the work required, I had mine converted for 5 speed at Arch, it wasn't a wholesale rip off price and nice folks to talk to, go on, do it!
