Area Representative Richard Price Posted April 8, 2006 Area Representative Share Posted April 8, 2006 Set of 4 195/45-15 Stunner Scudo's - £60. 3 worn to between 4 and 6mm, but the front left (which does most of the work at most circuits and sprint courses!) is a little lower at between 3 and 5mm. These are a great road tyre offering good grip in either wet or dry. They were last years list 1A tyre of choice for sprints and hillclimbs. FTD and 3 out of the first four cars at the clubs Llandow sprint last August in monsoon conditions were taken on these tyres!

Frying Pan
How do these compare to CR500s for grip / life - I know the cost difference See some pictures of the build here. 9000 miles completed!
Area Representative Richard Price Posted April 9, 2006 Author Area Representative Share Posted April 9, 2006 I can't compare the wear with CR500's, but the grip is good, particularly in the wet. I don't recall if anyone was using CR500's at the very wet Llandow sprint, but, as I said above, only Brodie on full wet race tyres, mixed it with Stunners! They're not such a good track day tyre - the wear is quite high when pushed hard on track. This set of tyres have done about 2000miles, but that includes 12 sprints and hillclimbs, and two Llandow track days (I find Llandow quite hard on tyres!!).
