SimB
I seem to have lost my dipped headlights today. Sidelights work, main beam is fine but no fog lamp either when that switch is thrown. I've checked the connectors on the back of the bulbs - no sign of 12V when the switch is thrown. Tracing back, the fuse seems fine - but no 12V on the fuse when the switch is thrown either. Going back to the switch - there seems to be 12V going in and I've tested the switch with a continuity tester. Seems OK. There seems to be a relay in the circuit somewhere - I can hear it clicking. But without a wiring diagram I'm getting a bit lost. Any hints? Thanks!
SimB
OK, I've solved it. Back to the wiring diagram with the trusty multimeter revealed that the fault was with the dip/main beam switch.
Support Team Shaun_E Posted April 6, 2006 Support Team Share Posted April 6, 2006 Had the same thing - the dip switch can fail. New one from Caterham as I couldn't find one in any of the local motor factors. Yellow SL #
