chrisb
Right, I've managed to make it through the winter without suffering too much upgradeititus. However, I obviously haven't had enough antidote So, as my speedo is dead, I've decided its time for a new dash (Great logic eh?) What output is reuired to run a stack dash with speedo? I'm thinking of possibly fitting the ST700SR. Is it possible to run off the current speedo cable drive? Is it an all electric only system? Can I fit a magnet and sensor to the propshaft and get a reading off that? Any help would be gratefully received. PS - I have fitted a bike speedo as a temporary measure, but I'm not that keen on it. Support Team Shaun_E Posted April 4, 2006 Support Team Share Posted April 4, 2006 Stack sell a wheel speed sensor but it is about £100 - that's what is fitted on my car to go with the ST8130 dash. I believe you can also use a prop shaft sensor. The beauty of the wheel speed sensor is that it can be very accurately calibrated by measuring the rolling circumference of the tyre.
