Inertia Cut out switch

Hi,

Steve Foster and I are both looking into getting one of these for our cars - to cut power to fuel pump and/or ECU in a crash. We know they are Rover parts and can be bought from Caterham, but I am after some info on the wiring as neither of our cars are K's. My local Rover dealer could not help and neither could Caterham Parts..

Anyone out there with info, or alternatives?

Part is as used on 'Rover' and 'MG' saloons. It is just cut into the fuel pump supply wiring. Nothing advanced about it. You can test one in your hand by 'flicking' your wrist. The ball bearing goes 'click' and the circuit is broken. Easy to test with a meter.Resetting is just a case of pushing on top of the rubber diaphragm.thumbsup.gif
