Damn Damn Damn...what do I do?

The date clashes with a cycling event - the 3-up 50km national championships. Do I ride that or say stuff it to my club and compete at Shelsley Walsh (which will be more fun, less painful on the legs and not involve 6 hours a week training for the next 3 months *eek*)

Much soul searching this afernoon me thinks!

Definately, once driven never fogotten 😬 😬

Off the line uphill, plenty of wheelspin

Left though Kennel

Watch out for crossing (looks nothing when you walk it but will catch you out)

Full blast up to bottom S, brake without hitting Railway Sleepers on right

90 degree left followed by 90 degree right (avoid manhole cover if its still there)

Blast to the finish line 😬 😬 😬

All over and done with in about 35sec 😬 😬 😬 😬

with 240 bhp ++ will read ........

slowly apply full throttle whilst maintaining a drift to the outside bank of the bottom S - (you may take off a rear wing but they are cheap enough ), full throttle if you dare through the enormouse dip and loose traction at 90 mph on the exit of the dip , then scrabble to scrub off enough speed not to crash head long into the 8 foot high railway sleepers ......

I drove it a few times during 2001 & 2 with just 186 bhp and that was frightening ! *eek*

I take it we are in classes B1 and B2 (for roadgoing) and not class N?

I was confused by the statement of "Additional classes July 1st" - "N Lotus Seven cars entered in the Lotus Seven Club Speed Championship". I assumed this was us, but then read in the small print that class N is for "classic cars" (pre-1972). So I guess that actually means Lotus, and not our usual Lotus/Caterham grouping?

TIA for clarification...

Plus, nowhere could I spot who the cheque has to be made out to!

Balls *mad* - I've put B2 and it's in the post - looks like it should have been N *confused*.

I couldn't see what to write the cheque out as so wrote "Midland Automobile Club (Est. 1901) Limited".

Graeme - yes it is in the summary of event s section for july1

It's down that the 1st July will be a round of the L7C Speed Championship (on page 5) but page 6 doesn't say that L7C is an invited club. So, in theory, you need to be a member of Hagley, Bugatti, Shenstone, BARC Midlands or Owen Motor Clubs *confused*

Graeme,

4. The events are open to:

(b) Competitors in the Championships specified in the summary of the events.

So, strictly speaking, they will need to see championship registration cards.
