My 'K' engine did this on change to Emerald M3D ECU due to alarm system 'holding' a 1.25 volts charge that kept the ECU on! Answer:- Remove alarm. CHRIS CLARK Posted January 20, 2002 Share Posted January 20, 2002 Ted_7 Emerald M3D ECU is the engine control unit that is produced for/by Dave Walker of CCC (Car & Car Conversions) fame. Along with Karl Paton (the electronics man) they have a programmable unit that can be set up to specifically control your (tuned) engine which has its own unique characteristics.
