The question is............where to fit the filter mounting. The mounting is a quite chunky casting and I am wondering how others have tackled this issue. Any help gratefully received. Mick Day Posted March 25, 2006 Share Posted March 25, 2006 I assume it's for a K. I bought a new filter housing from Think Auto which allows pressurised oil in at the front of the housing. Part number FH6. You also need a blanking plug & -10 JIC to 1/2 BSP adapter. Have a chat with Matthew Potter at Think, 020 8568 1172, & he'll sort it out. If you decide to stick with the remote oil filter I've seen x-flows & BD's with remote filters fitted just in front of the headlight brackets.
