It suggests using a piston wind back tool that engages in the piston and rotates it as the screw pushes the piston back. What's the reason for rotating the piston ? It can be done with a pair of snipe nose pliers to turn and push, but its more grief than its worth. The tool makes it much easier. Dont attempt without turning, it just wont work! The adjuster mechanism is threaded and within the piston hence the need to wind back.
