Big Brother
How many miles can I expect to get out of a set of 48R's 🤔 Around 170bhp and a fairly heavy right foot. Mainly fast road use 😬 Steve  SE7EN-UP! Support Team Shaun_E Posted March 15, 2006 Support Team Share Posted March 15, 2006 Mine lasted less than 4000 road miles, a couple of track days and a Dunsfold handling day (mmm...donuts 😬) and were down to the wear bars when I replaced them. You only get (I think) 4mm of tread to start with so it soon goes . Yellow SL #
fastlady
Mine have done about that many miles too and the rears are starting to look a little bit low. Still road legal but like Shaun I have a penchant for track days and the small circles so I suspect they won't be legal any longer after the two track days I have planned for April 😬 😳 (unless it rains hard and I keep the 021s on of course!) Dicky
I have got about 5000 miles on mine at the moment and they are still fully legal. I think that I will get another year out of them if I can stay off the track.  I have a 1600 K SS. Dicky
LazerBrain
Steve - about 3k miles on my rears and they're about 2mm left now. One Academy day plus road driving. 😬 cheers, Darren. Edited by - LazerBrain on 15 Mar 2006 15:25:
doclip
what should you get out of a set of soft 032s then on xflow for road use ?
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted March 15, 2006 Leadership Team Share Posted March 15, 2006 Re: 32s - are they all soft, or "supersoft"??? I'm running 32Rs all round, 185/60-13 SOFT on the front, 215/50-13 HARD on the rear. So far I've done around 8000 miles, including 7 track days and 3 days at Curborough. They're looking pretty tired now, but still legal. I'd buy another set if I could still get them  Stu. martin b
5000 miles and still legal, I wore mine out in less than 3000 miles and that was in my old x flow with just a couple of trackdays. Dicky you must try harder  Martin
Dicky
Martin 😳 - Had I not been driving behind you for a great deal of those 5000 miles then I might have worn them out faster. 😬
