Halfords 5W50 Motorsport oil

Recommended Posts

The 5w50 is the one I can get at £15.75.

The syner - g 5w40 is about £85 for 20 litres.

The spec listed in the above post is directly from the comma site here.

I can get most of the products here but would like to concentrate on just one product.

If it's made by Comma then it's certain to be the same as Caterham's brand.
I think you will find that Caterham's oil was specifically developed by their chosen oil partner as an optimum blend for Caterhams. You can get in an awful lot of bother in these parts if you suggest it was some old chip fat that they had lying underneath one of their benches onto which they just slapped a Caterham label.

so to confirm, halfords, caterham and comma syner-g motorsport 5w-50 oils are all exactly the same, just under a different badge name? ive got comma in mine at the moment and need a top up, would be easier for me to pop to halfords if this was the case...
