Mark Ferguson
I have a set of DTHTB's ready to go onto my engine when i have it re-built & it currently has the black plastic rover fuel rail fitted with a round cylinder on one end (dont know what that is???) with the large fuel inlet & the small outlet at other end (end with cylinder on) I have seen a piccie with an ali fitted rail without the cylinder & goodridge hoses in & out. can the original rover fitted plastic one with cylinder be directly replaced with the ali one & what size hose fitments are they on the goodridge hoses plse what is the cylinder object on the end, looks like something for air ??? good job someone will be doing the work for me, i would make a real mess
oilyhands
Mark, The cylindrical object is the fuel pressure regulator. The stock fuel rail is adequate for the job, you will just be wasting your money, you will need a fuel rail (£50?) connectors (£20) and a fuel pressure regulator (£50?) to do the job that the stock fuel rail does rather well.
