oldbutnotslow
Has anyone converted the washer bottle into an oil expansion bottle? Having blocked off the hole for the washer pump I now I presume that you pass the inlet pipe into the bottle half way up and and outlet pipe to air from the top. Do I need to put anything inside the bottle sush as wire wool? Is there anything else that I should do? Adrian M
Good idea, I’d be interested to hear how you get on with this solution. Ade
peterg
Is there anything else that I should do? Empty the washer fluid out? 😬
oldbutnotslow
😬 Strange I did not think of that!! 😬 AS I dont have a windscreen YBNS thought of converting it into a drinks dispenser for Driver & Passenger. Sounds like a plan to me but it will take a bit of skill to centre the jet of drink through the visor hole in your helmet and into your mouth! 😬 Edited to say that as I often put foot in mouth YBNS thought that I would have little difficulty!! Mick Day
For a drinks dispenser get one of those camel packs & site it behind the seat. On really hot days put it in the fridge overnight. As I have aero's I used to keep spare oil in the washer bottle whilst touring. I did wonder whether the pump would cope with the viscosity as I could then pump it straight into the engine. In the end I removed the pump & araldited a bung in the hole.
