Pierson Broome Posted January 11, 2002 Share Posted January 11, 2002 You can enlarge the holes - I had it done - but the angle of the support arms is different on the FIA bar to a standard roll bar due to the extra height and the angle of forward incline. This has the effect of needing not only larger diameter holes, but also the holes positioned further forwards. So far so dandy, but bear in mind that moving the holes forward leaves a gap behind them where the original bar's support arms used to pass through the boot cover. Result: snug at the front, big 'ole for letting in gallons of water at the back.... The marine cover-maker who did the work for me managed to effect a waterproof(-ish) compromise, but it's always been just that - a compromise. Doesn't look too good and I'll be replacing the modified cover with a proper FIA boot cover once we return to the UK. Pierson Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
