1800K series engine for sale , rods, pistons, liners and head are all from a 3,000 mile R300. The R300 head has solid followers which have been freshly shimmed and the head has been fully ported by Dave Andrews. The block, water pump and oil pump are new, the crank is low mileage (12,000) and has been polished and fitted with new main bearings and new TF160 big-end bearings. The liner heights have been set to 4 thou and the latest type multi-layer steel gasket and uprated ladder have been fitted. It has a new cambelt and linished tensioner. It also has later VHPD DTH throttle bodies fitted. The cams have been carefully re-timed and the block can be modifed to suit Caterham installation. Should make an easy 170BHP+.

Photo diary of build available.

£1700

Oily,

What else would be required to make this run (and approx cost) in a standard 1600 supersport. Also, do you fit/exchange engines at your place. In other words, could you carry out the installation, and any other work required.

If you'd prefer to email me, could you send it to:

nhill@interfoodtechnology.com, as home pc's toast at the moment.

You'll need

sump and pickup (ex current engine)

Spigot bearing and sleeve

Fuel rail, injectors, TPS and air temp sensor (ex current engine)

Other engine peripherals such as alternator, starter etc.

An Emerald ECU or similar.

An air filter.

To make the engine complete for Caterham installation.

I can install the engine but I'm quite booked at the moment.

Thanks for the info Oily. Not sure whether it's a possibility at the moment, as my missus says dream on!

Looks like I'll have to buy her some more jewellery first ☹️

Crikey!!!! Looks like I've just become a windbag. Maybe it's time to get a life!
