Manxseven
Pace Dry Sump Oil Tank - 2 Part. 6.5" version Taken from the Pace Website; Metal spun bodies for strength and appearance. Can be totally dismantled in 1 minute by removing a cap-head bolt. Upper & lower body sections sealed with an 'o' ring and retained together with a specially manufactured stainless steel 'V' band clamp. Upper & lower body sections can be rotated to allow fittings to be positioned as required. The oil suction union takes the form of a thick walled tube that runs to the centre point in the base of the tank. This makes it impossible for the oil to surge under any conditions. The scavenge oil return is fan tailed and angled onto the inner side wall of the tank to spin the oil and air apart. The oil then runs down and through a flat baffle plate to further promote oil/air seperation, finally entering the lower chamber through a drilled centre column. Once the oil has entered this lower chamber it cannot surge to the point where the oil pick-up is uncovered. We fit 5/8" diameter right angle breathers to the tank and suggest, for maximum breathing efficiency, that the outer breather is connected to the rocker box (if required) and the inner or central breather is connected to the catch tank. It is vital that the tank is NOT pressurised in any way as this will stop the oil de-aeriating. Aluminium filler cap with 1.5” internal diameter for easy filling. Cap seals with ‘O’ ring. JIC female threads tapped in suction/return fittings with provision for 'o' ring seal. All fittings etc. TIG welded into place. Pace Link here: here This is a new tank. Rob Walker
Simon, I think you should advise potential buyers that the tank has three threaded boss inputs into the side of the tank on the top section in addition to the two top breathers. The standard tank has only one. The tank also has a base plate attached. Rob
