Another tyre question

what size wheels do you run on?

I use Yoko 032s and 048s on 13" wheels, but mainly on track due to poor ground clearance.

On road I run Toyo T1-S on 16" (205/45) wheels.

These cost £65 a corner full fitted, and last 15,000 miles or so.

They also grip VERY well and are predictable. On the road when running on the Toyos I really don't feel I'm at a massive disadvantage to the Yokos. I've also tracked the Toyos and they performed well, though are rather smokey if you get carried away! 😬 😬

I'd put my money on Michelin XZX 😬

Very predictable.......... crap in the wet and crap in the dry. *eek*

They will however last for ever. I mean no noticable wear after 100k *smile*

And because they last forever you will be able to pick up as many as you want from a scrappy for 5 shillings each. 😬 😬 😬

How many miles a year do you do? Do you not have a house??

Sorry, to be serious.

Id go for the CR500's simply because of the grip.

I use 16" wheels with Toyo T1R's and 200bhp. Seem ok grip really well especially in the wet, have covered 5kmiles and no obvious wear. Also got them on the wifes everyday Elise and they have been brilliant, she's covered about 12kmiles rears are about half worn fronts still look new.

Stunner Scudo's

Last years sprint tyre of choice for those needing to run standard road tyres.

Great in the dry - better in the wet than most things - 1st, 3rd and 4th overall at a very wet Llandow last August (2nd place was taken by Brodie Branch, on full wet race tyres!!)
