250bhp Vauxhall Short Engine REDUCED

Davey Bee

Recommended Posts

Acurlite forged pistons with new rings and bearings, Arrow steel con-rods, O/E reground crankshaft and engine block to match. These were rebuilt as part of my engine by QED last summer and since then have done less than 200 miles. All can be viewed at QED.

All that know my car can vouch for the speed of this engine.

now £1200 ono

Sideways - I don't think Dave is trying to rate this as a 250hp block, merely that this block and components were used in his last engine build that produced 250hp. For the components listed and the fact that the short engine is already assembled and has run reliably, although only for a short period i'd say it is a good buy for someone looking to build a quick vauxhall. You could build a head up to whatever spec you want and for someone with an existing vauxhall car swap units and enjoy 😬

This is a very inexspensive way of getting into a big power Vauxhall. All that is needed are cams of your choice and some head porting.
