4ster
Having now (nearly) finished replacing my axle with English, I am left with the original Ital casing which was specially modified for the trailing arms & Panhard rod setup fitted to my car. I had assumed that it would be best to convert it back to “standard” but Arch motors (who did a great job on preparing the English) suggested a figure that made it uneconomical. So, is anyone interested in taking an axle prepared for the 5 link setup similar to that described on pages 150/151 of Ortenburger’s book? Suggested price: £50 for the casing only – no half shafts, diff or drums. Could deliver/arrange to meet in Leics, Northants, Warwicks, Oxon areas. Pictures of it when fitted to my car here. 4ster
BTT *arrowup* And I thought that there would be hordes of LA Seveners just waiting to convert to a 5 link rear end! It will go to the scrap yard if no-one is interested. So if anyone wants to take it away for a modest donation to NTL, just let me know. Silver 21
Paul I'll take it off your hands for a modest donation to NTL, it looks like it will be suitable for one of my others projects 😬 😬 😬, Graham Lotus 7 Club General Secretary
4ster
Hi Graham More projects! I'm pleased that the axle will get used and can probably drop it off on my way back from work. Will mail you later when diaries have been sorted. Paul
