john powell
Used once and only for sale due to change of plans. 7.0/21-13 8.0/22-13 I think they are £520 Inc VAT from BMTR. £350 plus P&P or will deliver if local to Chester. Cheers JAP. SouthernBanana
1st dibs please. How much wear have they got John? PS are they slicks or ACB10s, as the sizes you've quoted are for slicks... BMTR do not stock ACB10s in the sizes above Edited by - SouthernBanana on 2 Feb 2006 10:37:
Mark Durrant
Southern Banana These are sprint compound ACB10's which are very soft. John So what class are you entering this year 🤔 Mark D Comp Sec
SouthernBanana
Mark Hi. Excuse my ignorance, but after looking at the compound chart on BMTRs website, they don't appear to be *that* much softer than the A30/31 combo? Will they therefore disintegrate with circuit use?!!! I think this may be a case of listening to those with more experience of this tyre! Thanks for the tip anyway! PS the class I may have to enter is the 'know your A-Z of ACB10 tyre compounds' class 😬 Edited by - SouthernBanana on 2 Feb 2006 11:01:

Peter Carmichael
They are significantly softer than A30/A31. Depends on what floats yer boat, but they will be lots of fun for a short duration. 3 trackdays will probably see them off. I'd be dibbing for these myself, but I already have a set with just four minutes use on them...
Mark Durrant
SouthernBanana These tyres are not suitable for track days as they will wear very quickly as they are quite a bit softer than the A30 compound. To give you an idea the competitors in Class 3 can just about make one set last a season of 13 sprints which is probably no more than 60 miles Mark D Comp Sec
SouthernBanana
Peter Thanks for the clarification! Apologies, but can I therefore 'un-dib' them? Peter, to the best of your knowledge, do you think the A31/A30 compound could do 60 laps of the 'Ring (say, one weekend), or would you expect them to last longer (excluding erratic driving, and any lap record attempts(!!) etc? Would you therefore recommed A048s for the ring? I already have a decent set of CR500s on another set of rims kind regards Fergus Edited by - SouthernBanana on 2 Feb 2006 12:08:
A10ROX
60 laps of The Ring in a weekend Assume a quick lap of 8mins taht 8 hours solid John if only a sprinted ......... A10ROX:OK, its an R500 without the magnesium bits sump etc and only 205bhp!
Paul Gibb
SB, I ruined a set of A24 ACB10's in a single trackday when the club visited Brands in Sept. Still got overtaken by A10ROX though! SouthernBanana
I've done 54 in a 3 day weekend visit in my old RS 911 before, so I assume, allowing for traffic I can manage 60 odd over the same perdiod this year! cheers Camskill are now sorting me out with tyres.
