alan7
As it says on the tin. No it's not the flat bottomed one. 260mm suede (but seen better days as its a bit shiny where you grip it) Drilled for standard non removeable boss (2 holes at the top, 1 at the bottom) £40.00 + the infamous P & P or collect from South Wales. How do you get the dead flies off your teeth....... 😬 R5AAH NO The REDUCED refers to the £££ not the steering wheel just in case anyone askes 😬 Edited by - alan7 on 27 Jan 2006 10:12:

Brucey
Alan, What would I need to do to fit it to my car which currently has a Mountney wheel and centre horn push? I.e. would I have to get a new boss and relocate the horn onto the dash? Black suede of brown suede? Any photos? How much P&P? Bruce.
alan7
Brucey a) Truthful answer is I don't know but I suspect you'd need a new boss & have to relocate the horn button as you suggest. I'll throw in a horn button FOC if you buy the wheel. b) Black Suede c) No, I'll take a couple tonight & put them on my Weshot page. d) I haven't weighed it - think it would be in the region of £3 - £4 How do you get the dead flies off your teeth....... 😬 R5AAH

Brucey
Thanks for the photos Alan. As you say, it is used but still looks o.k. I had a measure of my Mountney wheel. Assumuming yours measures 260mm outside diam, that's about 40mm smaller than mine 😳 Is the 260mm Racetech a standard a Caterham size or would I have trouble hanging onto it (road use, std rack)? Has anyone got a centre boss for sale? (might try 'wanted' section). Where could I get price & availabilty of a new boss? Bruce.
alan7
Brucey It is a standard Caterham size along with thje 290mm I use a 260mm steering wheel with a 22 quick rack *eek* That took a bit of getting used to - whatever you do don't sneeze or you could change 3 lanes on the motorway 😳 With a standard rack the learning curve shouldn't be too bad & it'll save you crossing your hands over on those tight bends 😬 You couls try Demon Tweeks here for the price, but I'm sure you could get a cheaper one by shopping around. There must be a 7er somewhere who's gone from a fixed wheel to a removeable one & has a boss at the back of the garage somewhere.
