Suspension bush sizes

Barry, I have just changed my rear ones after 10 years of use.(except centre A frame ones which are done when needed) Some were looking a bit shot. I needed a power press to push them out. It is difficult/fiddly as you will damage the walls of the radius arms or A-frame diagonals if you are not careful.

I finally replaced my front top link bushes after 32 years and they did not seem much the worse for wear although they had acquired a slight "set" which meant that the axis of the bolt was not parallel with the outer sleeve. This was due to the malevolent influence of the anti-roll bar.

My wife's kitchen blowlamp was ideal for heating up the end of the link as it provided a small concentrated flame and a good vice with 2 feet of tube on the handle pressed them out.
