Wight Skipper
Has anyone got any advice about doing the above? Mine hasn't arrived yet but I just want to get my head round what is going to be involved! Are full instructions included? If so, what do they say? mav
Pretty Straight forward to fit. Measure twice, drill once...
Tony Whitley
Sticking the piping on is a bit of a faff. You'll need some good glue.
Guy Lowe
What glue did you use Tony? mines coming off ☹️ From Clam shells to Cycle wings for only 3K here IT'S MANGO AND THAT'S THE END OF THE MATTER
Delbert
Why use Glue??? Surley a transleucent Low Mod silicone would be better, helps with slippage etc then seals Freelance Ferret sexer and general sloth for hire
Myles
Delbert, the foam strip you sent me is excellent - but you really ought to try and keep business and pleasure seperated Project Scope-Creep is live... Myles
Hang on - that reminds me that I need to source a tube of windscreen-sealant (for the front wing) and some silicone sealant (of some description) for the honeycomb boot panels.... Graham Perry
iirc the instructions said you needed a blunt drill for hole making purposes. I had a box full of those, so that bit was easy 😬 Agreed the rubber trim is a bit messy to do, you have to cut lots of little triangles out of it to go around corners
Tony Whitley
Guy: I said you'll need some good glue. I didn't say I'd used any... ☹️

stevefoster
I found SVA rubber better / easier to fit than the piping that came with it. I expands to fit even the triangulated parts. Plus you can go all round it and no more carbon edge if you want to... RiF
Reason for release of rubber trim with certain glues has been found to be a release agent used on the rubber!!!! So light sand paper of rubber I have been told solves it Any problems on fitting please ring me always pleased to help RiF Flying even faster in my very bright yellow 226bhp Duratec 7, with internal kevlar/carbon panels and pushrod suspension 😬 😬 😬.for pictures of 7 and carbon
