finmac Posted January 3, 2006 Share Posted January 3, 2006 Have a safety devices cage fitted to my dedion car. Problem is it originally came with an FIA bar, that means the holes where the cage uprights go through the cover are large on one side and tight on the other - thus it will leak like a sieve when I am out touring this summer. stevefoster Posted January 4, 2006 Share Posted January 4, 2006 I got some old Tonneau material and contact adhesived some shaped cutouts on the underside. From above you barely see them. Can always be removed if you swap back to the FIA bar. If anything less water is now let in. MikeE Posted January 4, 2006 Share Posted January 4, 2006 CC seem to supply only one type of boot cover now which obviously doesn't fit any of the numerous configurations very weel. I had to modify mine extensively to get it to fit to my SD SLR cage. I unpicked the beading and cut it to shape and then got a coach trimmer to sow it back together for me........
