Adrian Elkin
Just had a call from a fellow blatchatter who's front hub assembly has disintegrated whilst out on the road. Doesn't know which bit yet as he's examining it as I type. He's got until 5pm before the AA arrives. Just in case he (the AA Man) can get the spares in time, does anyone know what the upright assembly comprises of, i.e. what vehilcle and vintage the upright, stub axle and hub originally came from? The car is a '96-7 K-series. Regards Adrian
F355GTS
Adrian I think they are Spitfire/ Herald?. I have spare stub axles, castle nuts, a l/h upright (they're handed), seals , and some good but used bearings here if it helps to get him going Mark
Adrian Elkin
Thanks for the info and the offer of spares Mark. You're probably right altough I wonder about the hub since it has the 4.24 (Ford) PCD as oppose to the smaller 3.something off a Triumph. Unfortunately he's down in Devon, though I'll let him know about your spares should he wish to purchase any on his return. Will keep you posted.
