fuel filler/haynes manual

My 1993 1800 x/flow dedion is very slow to fill with fuel. Is this normal or am I likely to have a blockage or breather problem ?

Can anyone tell me if there is a manual covering the X/flow engine.

'Rebuilding and Tuning Ford's Kent Crossflow Engine' by Peter and Valerie Wallage (ISBN 1 85010 938 9)should fit the bill. Published by Haynes at £17.99 I think it's available from Burtons. Good basic ideas and some specs for larger capacity engines.

I purchased an updated feul filler stem from caterham last year which now allows me to fill up at almost flat out . Apparently there was a change of breather design , this was for my unleaded K so I'm not sure if the part is available for LRP/Leaded fillers ?? .

I have a '94 X-Flow and it is also very slow to fill. Will be interested to find a solution to this.

Take a look at the shape of the rubber filler hose which may be semi-flattened on the bend. If so it's probably past it's best and should be replaced, but trim the replacement as necessary at both ends to ensure best final fit without flattening on the bend - you could even try this with the old one first.
