Snapper
What is the better tyre out of the CR500 & the 32R for the road or the track? New Superlight arrives in Januaryteeth.gif, Days to wait are getting few!!!
Richard Gibson
I have had very extensive experience with the OO32R. I am here in the USA and we only have one compound available to us. I think I heard there are softer tires to be had over towards you. I ran them in an Elan and found them to be a bit noisy, superior in the wet, very good in giving you feedback but I am sure there are better tires to be had for the 7. Gridgway
I think I prefer 32's to CR500s (both for all round use and out and out grip) although I have not done a back to back and they were on different sevens (fat use that is I know)! DaveK
Snapper I think you will find the cr500 are a better road tyre being more suited to wet conditions than the a032r which was designed as a race tyre. However the a032r is a more consistent track tyre witness its use as a control tyres in several formulae. i think you will find cases for using both tyres, but don't forget that the a021r is also a good tyre for road/track use as well as having full 7 mm of tread depth and it has more than enough grip for general road driving. cheers Dave
