Matt Prior
A QED engine in a '94 HPC - would that be XE or Ecotec? Anybody experienced their 218ish bhp form? Any reported problems? How's reliability/drivability? Thanks for any advice, as I'm thinking of buying a used one. Matt Prior
Matt Prior
Let me answer that first query - it's an XE
Marius
Matt, just heard good things about QED. Many QED racing-engines running in GB as far as I know. But 218bhp should not be problem ´cause this is still a very modest grade of tuning the XE. Trouble free running engines with more than 230bhp are quite common. The only alternative to QED might be Steve Broughton Developments at www.sbdev.co.uk. Very helpfull people who also seem to know about XE.
gareth
I have had a 250 BHP QED for a couple of years their engines are great most of the time. This engine could be from a kit they sell so anyone could have built it, so I would ask was it built by QED and dyno'd there, and at what mileage, etc etc Edited by - gareth on 18 May 2000 13:01:
