Andy Doughty Posted December 7, 2005 Share Posted December 7, 2005 Has anyone had an input shaft machined down ? This is to reduce the shaft to the equivalent of the short type. I guess the risks are the shaft is case hardened and this could peel off. Or Does anyone know a supplier of a short input shaft. A10ROX Posted December 8, 2005 Share Posted December 8, 2005 This was done on Le Sept 2 years ago The spare Hyperion had was a long shaft, converted to short by local Agricultural Merchant and an angle grinder In the end it wasn't the gearbox but the clutch Engine out twice Not my car *wink* A10ROX:OK, its an R500 without the magnesium bits sump etc and only 205bhp!
