Trevor Newman
I think the time has come to put Chitchat back the way it was I think 6 people thinking this is a good idea should be enough about time we stopped pleasing minority groups i find it quite simple to grasp the idea that this thread has nothing to do with cars (oops sorry CATERHAMS) "Who of the L7OC has been married the longest? db
I assume if everyone ignores the new forum it will go away -- certainly most people seem to be continuing to post non Caterham (or Lotus) threads still. One day soon
Please can we have chit chat on & off topic, I keep having to flick through both area's to see if there's anything new which is a pain. Additionally I didn't think that the amount of traffic since we went members only really warranted any further diversification of the areas. Just turn it into the sheds. Tony C
I vote to put it back the way it was too BRG Brooklands SV 😬 It seems that perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to take away. Big Brother
Have to agree. The way its currently set up makes it too easy to miss "good" posts as they are tucked away. I liked it the way it was before - the O/T posts brightened up the car talk and gave some variety. Steve SE7EN-UP! Normans_Ghost
I vote to put it back the way it was. Sorry Barry, I've tried to live with it. It's a pain to look in two places but also with some posts I'm not sure wheer to go so I put it in chatcaht anyway. Normans_Ghost
OK, how about this, Barry, Rename OftTopic, Sheds. Then we can have sensible talk on chit chat and wibble in the sheds. Ian B
Another vote to put it back as it was (perhaps with a separate 'sheds' forum though). Ian - MI 5EVN - Slightly Vider SVelte model 😬 now repainted to match the Autocom headsets 😳
Trevor Newman
very little point in the suggestions forum as it gets ignored clearly this club is more akin to the masons and we arent in the inner circle

Big Brother
I agree (again) Seeing as most people still post "off topic" threads on Chitchat, whether in defiance of the new set up or just out of habit. The forums are getting too fragmented to be enjoyable. Maybe there is a way that "O/T" posts could remain in the Chitchat section but have a different icon next to them (not sure how much recoding this would require) either that or have a check box when posting that adds an "O/T" to the thread title. Either way, I think the majority of users want it changed back to how it was. We've given it a good try but all we've ended up with is a messy forum with posts all over the place. Steve SE7EN-UP!
