David Hopkins Posted December 18, 2001 Share Posted December 18, 2001 I have just noticed transmission fluid leaking from between the bell hsg and box casing on my 1.8k . Does not seem huge , car has done 1700 miles from new so still under warranty . I didn't notice this before so maybe recent cold weather could be contributory or could be the sign of something bigger to come . Any views or advice . Peter Carmichael Posted December 19, 2001 Share Posted December 19, 2001 The cork gasket between the gearbox front cover (nose) and gearbox front face is a little on the thin side and doesn't like the cover to be disturbed.
