Class 1

I understand the final regs will not be finalised until 2006 but is there any general guidance that could be given so that I can start rebuilding my engine over the winter.

We have a baby due in Febuary so I would like to get the engine build before the delivery –( I have obviously spoke to Ms UC about delaying the birth just a couple of months, but the response I got was a bit unreasonable IMO ) *confused*

As I understand it, a boggy standard x-flow or Vaxhall running on DCOEs produces about 100bhp, as the academy series, which I think most of us are running at the moment.

As I need to rebuild my very tired old x-flow anyway I am obviously interested in upping the power a little while I’m at it.

Not wanting to go against the ‘sprit’ of the regs, is there a list of components that can be used to build an engine producing on more than the 120bhp quoted in the new regs.

Many thanks for any help *smile*

Seonds to what Gordy said! Ill be keeping a keen eye on the speed trap next year Mikey *tongue* *tongue*

I can see a class 1 cold war arms race developing this winter! 😬

The new class 1 regs, would they include unmodified non-supersport (105bhp) 1400k's as well? It would make sense as std. 1600ks are included!

Steel cranks….wild cams Mwhahahahah

Forged pistons… dry sump… gas flowed head with huge valves

Then I woke up and found my coffee had gone cold. ☹️

Shouldn’t think it will be anything too exotic, the engine upgrade fund keeps getting whittled away buying prams and such stuff. *eek*

...mmmmm don't you try and cover your tracks now Mr U...we're onto you....

no upgrades for me (except a rollcage and new side and rear skin)...funds are very low due to my Italian friend 😬

1400 K's in class 1 at 105bhp would make sense..
