If I ride the clutch slightly to get a really smooth (but slower) change - no Klunk! 1600x/f 19k miles 4 spd box. 1995. Caterham built. This would give the symptoms you describe although I would have thought you could have felt some vibration with this scenario. Difficult without the car to 'feel' ! My local engineering shop have been unable to get the A-frame into the press. Is is a case of sending to Caterham/redline etc....or is there an easy way? Graham Perry Posted December 17, 2001 Share Posted December 17, 2001 Steve, Nope, I made a large punch out of an piece of 1.5 inch round bar turned it to the correct size, and then hit it with the 16 pound sledge hammer that we use for 'persuading' lorry joints to part. (whatever that means), "oh" says me, "is it bad", "oh no, they all do that" says the man at the caterham service agent.
