Points Scoring option # 3

I don't compete but have been thinking about it.

 

Would this work?

 

Give 100 points to a record scorer this will mean every one will get a percentage of the record as a score and will see how far off the top pace they are. This would help show inter class equivalency scoring in the easiest possible form.

 

Spread sheet calc could be record/time x 100 = points to 2 decimal places

 

If someone improves a record then it resets for the next event at that venue.

 

When it rains or is greasy or indeed for any weather condition where times are slow simply take the best score of the day from the 6 class winners and add to this score to make 100.

 

Then add the same number to all other scores

New venues could perhaps let all class winners score 100

This could work. Its the same a percentage of gold medal times and the wet days would also be resolved.

 

It would work for the overal champoinship and the class one to.

 

It will also show individuals how they are improving year on year.
