Sheds Moderator
On behalf of a friend: Mitchell Argo/Hera preamp with dedicated power supply. This is currently running in my temporary house and is a superb item. Unfortunately however it's not mine and Dave wants to free up some cash to MoT his car. It's in superb order, practically as new and happily sounds a good deal better than any of that awful Naim stuff that seems to get everywhere. If it sells I'll have to make do with a Quad 33. £350 ono, can DHL/post, auditions Barton on Humber, near Hull.
Tim Sture
Oy, we'll have less of that anti-Naim nonsense old chap 😳
Sheds Moderator
😬 Who me? Anti Naim? 😬 Guilty as charged. This Michell sounds nicer than any Naim I've ever heard, up to and including a NAC52 NAP5 HiCap or whatever they called their flagship muti-box system 10 yrs ago. Come and have a listen/go if you think your Naim is hard enough! 😬
Peter Carmichael
I can't believe it sounds any good, seeing as how the record is stuck. 😳
Sheds Moderator
😬 Record stuck or not, I could have a Naim CD player in the house tomorrow. The fact that I don't suggests I don't like its sound quality. OTOH the Michell is in the house, getting used. A pair of Celestion Ditton 33s are acquitting themselves very well in the circumstances. Back to back comparisons welcome gentlemen, the gear and I are waiting.
